Hi All
Arrived safely after a good flight. Dubai is amazing, a shopper's paradise. Needless to say the Verras women made a little diamond merchant a very happy man.
Weather extremely hot but not yet in the hot season - apparently about 50 deg. So we had pleasant spring weather of 39 deg. Accommodation - well lets just say it was a learnning experience.
Beautiful mosque behind us - did you know that they broadcast prayers at 4 & 8 am and pm? We do know - talk about a unique wake up call - just a couple of hours too early.
Off to Athens this morning.
The travellers quote for the day: - "you know it looks like real sand!" - anon. As quoted on a taxi trip around Dubai city. Stay tuned I am sure there will be more. Anyway hope all is well with everyone.
